1. How we collect and use information
You may be asked to provide personally identifiable information (such as your full name or email address) in order to participate in various activities, such as uploading videos, posting messages in our forums or in the video comments section, entering contests or sweepstakes, taking advantage of promotions, responding to surveys, or subscribing to newsletters or other mailing lists. If accessing Break Parallel from a mobile device, you may be asked to share your geo-location information, and identifiers designed to enable advertising on your device may be used by us or our service providers, advertisers, advertising networks and platforms, agencies, and partners. You can turn off geo-location data collection at any time by accessing the privacy settings of your mobile device. Depending on the device, you may also be able to reset its advertising identifier by accessing the privacy settings.
We may directly collect or use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for Break Parallel. These tools collect information sent by your browser or mobile device as part of a web page request, including the web pages you visit, your browser add-ons, your browser’s width and height, and other information that assists us in improving Break Parallel. We collect and use this analytics information in aggregate form such that it cannot reasonably be manipulated to identify any particular individual user.
When you visit the Service, we may send one or more cookies — a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters — to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and lets Break Parallel help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through the site. A cookie may also convey information to us about how you use Break Parallel (e.g., the pages you view, the links you click and other actions you take on the Service), and allow us or our business partners to track your usage of Break Parallel over time. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser’s directions. A session cookie is temporary and disappears after you close your browser. You can reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the Service may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.
We, our service providers, advertisers, advertising networks and platforms, agencies, and partners may collect various types of non-personally identifiable information when you visit Break Parallel. The information may be collected via cookies, log files, and web beacons (aka “clear GIFs”).
Log files automatically record certain information that your web browser sends whenever you visit any website (“Server Logs”). These Server Logs may include your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser language, referring / exit pages and URLs, platform type, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time of your visit, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.
Web beacons are small pieces of code placed on a web page to monitor the behavior of and collect data about the visitors viewing a web page. For example, web beacons may be used to count the users who visit a web page or to deliver a cookie to the browser of a visitor viewing that page.
We will not use your personally identifiable information to send marketing messages to you without your consent or as part of a specific program or feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out. We may, however, use your email address without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as to notify you when you have won one of our contests or when we make changes to our terms of service, to fulfill a request by you for an online newsletter, or to contact you about your account with us). We may use web beacons in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened.
The information we collect in connection with our online forums and communities is used to provide an interactive experience. We use this information to facilitate participation in these online forums and communities and, from time to time, to offer you products, programs, services or customized experiences. If you register and create an account with Break Parallel the screen name you select as well as other content you submit to your profile (such as photos, comments, video content, or reviews) will be displayed publicly on the Site and may be reused and redistributed by us in our discretion.
We use information collected via cookies, clear gifs, and web beacons to: (a) store your preferences; (b) understand Break Parallel and Internet use; (c) improve Break Parallel design and content; (d) manage and measure the performance of advertisements displayed on or delivered by or through Break Parallel; (e) monitor the behavior of and collect data about the visitors viewing a web page; (f) customize the content, offerings, or advertisements you see on Break Parallel; and (g) offer you products, programs, or services.
2. Sharing of your information
We will not rent or sell your information into third parties outside Break Parallel and its group companies (including any parent, subsidiaries and affiliates) without your consent, except as noted below:
b. Who you may choose to share your User Content with: Any information or content that you voluntarily disclose for posting to Break Parallel, such as User Content, becomes available to the public, as controlled by any available privacy settings. To change your privacy settings on Break Parallel, please change your profile settings. Subject to your profile and privacy settings, any User Content that you voluntarily make public is searchable by other Users, including your full name and blog URL (should you provide this optional information). In addition, Break Parallel allows for the RSS syndication of all of its public content within Break Parallel, and may allow third parties to access such information via Break Parallel application programming interface (“API”). If you remove information that you posted or submitted to Break Parallel, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of Break Parallel, or if other Users have copied or saved that information.
c. What happens in the event of a change of control: We may buy or sell/divest/transfer our company (including any shares in the company), or any combination of its products, services, assets and/or businesses. Your information such as customer names and email addresses, User Content and other user information related to Break Parallel may be among the items sold or otherwise transferred in these types of transactions. We may also sell, assign or otherwise transfer such information in the course of corporate divestitures, mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcies, dissolutions, reorganizations, liquidations, similar transactions or proceedings involving all or a portion of the company.
d. Instances where we are required to share your information: Break Parallel will disclose your information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to (a) comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement; (b) to enforce our Terms of Service or to protect the security or integrity of Break Parallel; and/or (c) to exercise or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Break Parallel, our Users or others.
e. Sharing certain service type information we collect about you: We may share certain service type information, including information obtained through tools such as cookies, log files, device identifiers, location data and clear gifs (such as anonymous usage data, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, number of clicks, etc.) with our third-party business partners for the purposes described in the section above on “How We Collect and Use Information.” We may also aggregate or otherwise strip data of all personally identifying characteristics and may share that aggregated, anonymized data with third parties.
Please note that an advertiser may ask Break Parallel to show an ad to a certain audience of Users (e.g., based on demographics or other interests). In that situation, Break Parallel determines the target audience and Break Parallel serves the advertising to that audience and only provides anonymous aggregated data to the advertiser. If you respond to such an ad, the advertiser or ad server may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they are trying to reach.
3. Analytics and Third Party Advertising
We may use the services of reputable third parties to provide us with data collection, reporting, ad response measurement, and Website analytics, and to also assist us with delivery of relevant marketing messages and advertisements. These third parties may view, edit, or set their own cookies. The use of such technologies by these third parties is subject to their own privacy policies and is not covered by this privacy notice.
We may use reputable third-party audience data such as age, gender and interests to better understand the behavior of our visitors and work with companies that collect information about your online activities to provide advertising targeted to suit your interests and preferences. These companies also use automated technologies to collect information when you click on our ads, which helps track and manage the effectiveness of our marketing efforts.
We, our third party service providers, advertisers, advertising networks and platforms, agencies, or our partners may collect information about your online activities on Break Parallel and other sites, and supplement such information with information from third parties, in an effort to make inferences about your interests and deliver to you advertisements targeted to those interests.
4. Security and Children’s Privacy
We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, to maintain data security, and to use correctly the information we collect online. However, we cannot assure you that personally identifiable information we collect will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this privacy notice.
Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, we do not knowingly collect or maintain personally identifiable information from persons under 13 years of age, and no part of Break Parallel is directed to persons under 13. If you are under 13 years of age, then do not use or access Break Parallel at any time or in any manner. If we learn that personally identifiable information of persons less than 13 years of age has been collected on Break Parallel without verified parental consent, then we will take appropriate steps to delete this information.

For revisions that may be materially less restrictive on our use or disclosure of the personally identifiable information you have already provided to us, we will attempt to obtain your consent before Break Parallel constitutes your agreement to this Privacy Notice and any future revisions.
