Turning Everyday Chores into Strongman Sports – Rogue’s “Levantadores” Documentary Trailer

Rogue is working on a documentary about the strongmen of Northern Spain whose sport originates from the typical chores and work they had to do to thrive as a society. Levantadores (Spanish for lifters) is set to be released next month, so check out the trailer to see what’s in store…

In the mountains of northern Spain, farmers and laypeople have competed in rural strongmen sports for generations. Stone lifting, wood cutting, bale tossing — the sports themselves carried over from years of manual labor, of daily life surviving off the land. LEVANTADORES introduces this rich culture which has helped influence a generation of modern day strongmen who are doing what they can to keep this heritage alive.
