This weekend we have a Behind The Grid double feature with two episodes… Go inside the San Francisco player house in a short reality TV style show and then hang out with Phoenix and Miami as they prepare to fight it out for a spot in the playoffs.
What is it like to hang out at a house filled with professional GRID athletes? Find out as we explore the player house where the San Francisco Fire are staying together, located in Diablo, California.
See what Eric Cardona’s favorite part of the house is, and hang out with Candice Wagner, Alessandra Pichelli and Sarah Hopping as Pichelli becomes “hangry” waiting for dinner to be made. Next, watch as the players celebrate Ashley Beaver’s birthday, and get a full tour of the house from the players themselves.
Special appearances by Eric Cardona, Candice Wagner, Ashley Beaver, Adam Cantrell, Alessandra Pichelli, Sarah Hopping, Tyler Cummings, Buddy Hitchcock, Chad Augustin, Ben Gerard, Courtney Walker, Jolaine Undershute and Drew Canavero, all of the Fire.
Get an inside glimpse at just how intense competition can be when everything is on the line, which was the case when the Phoenix Rise took on the Miami Surge in a win-or-go home match to end the regular season.
In this episode, hear from coaches Mike Lee and Doug Chapman as they give praise to the hard work and dedication of their players, and see how surprisingly relaxed the athletes can be before a match of this caliber.
Then, take a look at some of the defining moments of the thrilling match, which ultimately was decided in the final race — which had to be replayed after Miami won the first challenge flag of the season to be upheld.
Special appearances by Mike Lee and Danny Nichols of the Rise, and Doug Chapman, Jacob Anderson, Nick Urankar and Marco Coppolo of the Surge.
