2015 CrossFit Games – Wednesday Recap

July 23, 2015

A lot happened on the first day of the Games for individuals, so here’s a little end of the day info dump of what you need to know to keep up with everything.

First, let’s address the elephant in this room… We planned for this site to go live a month ago. If that would have happened we would have had plenty of time to work out some details, including a plan for keeping you guys updated on what’s going down in Carson. However, things didn’t work out that way and we launched last night—the night before the big event started. So after working at the Games from about 6:30am to 11:00pm we are scrambling to get some useful info on the site. In the future we’ll be more on top of stuff, but this site is in its infancy and we have to start somewhere…

Now that that is out of the way, below you’ll find who’s on top of the leaderboard along with CrossFit HQ’s videos from the day.

2015 CrossFit Games – Results After Day 1 (Wednesday)

*Interesting Observations: NorCal CrossFit and CrossFit Mayhem (Jason Khalipa and Rich Froning’s teams) are not in the top 10. Neither is Invictus. Also, Camille Leblanc-Bazinet, Noah Ohlsen, and Scott Panchik are nowhere to be found in the top 10 either.

*NOTE: There are also several teen and masters divisions that have been going on for a few days now. You can check the official CrossFit Games Leaderboard for full results, including teens and masters.

One of the most exciting things of the day was the foot race between Noah Ohlsen and Chad Mackay for third and fourth place in the beach event this morning… Check out the grit in these two after swimming their asses off for the better part of an hour!

One thousand meters of swimming, 2 miles of paddling, but it came down to a foot race between Noah Ohlsen and Chad Mackay.Every point matters.
