2016 Granite Games Online Qualifier Registration Now Open

The 2016 Granite Games is going down from September 9-11th in St. Cloud, Minnesota, and the first part of this year’s event has officially begun…registration! Get signed up now and start training!

The 2016 Granite Games season is upon us. To get you started on your Road to Minnesota, there are a few key facts and dates you’ll need to know. Read on to set yourself up for success on your 2016 Road to Minnesota campaign!

SEASON SCHEDULE

ONLINE QUALIFIER REGISTRATION OPENS – April 1ST

Online Qualifier registration opens at www.thegranitegames.com.

ONLINE QUALIFIER – June 9TH – July 4TH

Everyone begins their Road to Minnesota with the Online Qualifier. In addition to testing your limits and measuring yourself against your peers, the Online Qualifier offers weekly chances to win prizes and swag from our sponsors!

Over the course of 4 weeks, Athletes will test themselves against their peers as they work to earn their place at the 2016 Kill Cliff Granite Games.

  • Week 1 Workout: June 9TH – 13TH
  • Week 2 Workout: June 16TH – 20TH
  • Week 3 Workout: June 23RD – 27TH
  • Week 4 Workout: June 30TH – July 4TH

NOTE: All Athletes who wish to compete at the 2016 Kill Cliff Granite Games MUST participate in the Online Qualifier. Unlike in previous years, this also includes athletes who plan to register as a Team of 3, although registration for the Team of 3 Division will be available to all Athletes who participate starting July 20th.

ABOUT THE QUALIFIER

 

INVITATIONS FOR QUALIFIED ATHLETES – July 11TH – 15TH

Invitations to compete at the 2016 Granite Games as an Individual (Masters, Teen, Pro) or on a Community Team will be sent out in 3 waves.

Round 1: July 11TH & 12TH
Round 2: July 13TH & 14TH
Round 3: July 15TH

NOTE: The 1st round will be sent out on July 11th and 12th. If there are spots to compete remaining, invitations will be sent out on July 13th and 14th. In the unlikely event that spots remain after the first 2 rounds of invitations have been sent out, additional invitations will be sent out on July 15th.

 

REGISTRATION OPENS FOR TEAMS OF 3 – July 18TH

If you do not qualify as an Individual or on a Community Team, but still wish to compete at the Granite Games, you will have the opportunity to register a Team of 3 in the ASRX, Intermediate or Scaled Division starting July 18th at 10am.

NOTE: To be eligible to compete at the Granite Games, all athletes must register for the Online Qualifier. No athletes will be allowed to compete on a Team of 3 if not registered by the registration deadline on June 13th.

 

THE MAIN EVENT – THE 2016 KILL CLIFF GRANITE GAMES – September 9TH – 11TH

The event returns to the campus of St Cloud State University, this year with three venues: Halenbeck Field House, Herb Brooks National Hockey Center and Husky Stadium.
