2016’s CrossFit Open Announcement 16.3 Will See a Teenager Battle a Masters Athlete

This is a new one for all of us, and we couldn’t be more stoked to see how it pans out… The 2016 CrossFit Open 16.3 announcement will pit 41 year old Shawn Ramirez against 17 year old Nick Paladino!

Immediately after the announcement of the third workout of the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games Open from CrossFit JAX in Jacksonville, Florida, there will be a clash between champions Shawn Ramirez, 41, and Nicholas Paladino, 17.

Although 23 years separate the two athletes, they should be closely matched. In last year’s Open, Ramirez cleaned and jerked 280 lb. to Paladino’s 260 lb. At the Games, Ramirez finished Amanda in 6:07 to Paladino’s 5:32.

Will 16.3 fall to the Master or the Teenager?
