Gear Geeks Unite! Behind the Scenes with Rogue and their Elephant Bar and Deep Dish Plates for the 2016 Arnold

March 22, 2016

What do the strongest men in the world use to deadlift over 1,000lbs? Custom bars and plates, of course! Here’s a dope video from Rogue showing what went into some of the equipment they used for the Arnold this year.

Each year Rogue works with the organizers of the Arnold Strongman Classic to build custom implements that can test the pure strength of the strongest men on Earth. 2016 was no exception. This year, Rogue built a 10-foot-long, conventional style deadlift bar and a series of 45 lb. deep-dish plates machined from solid, 170 lb. slugs of steel.
