Gut-Wrenching Slacklineing in the Utah Desert

December 01, 2015

If you’ve ever tried to walk across a slackline, then you know how absolutely mental this is… Watch these epic drone shots of Théo Sanson walking nearly 1,500ft between two plateau peeks in the Utah desert and try not to lose your lunch.

On November 15, 2015 Théo Sanson walked nearly 500 meters on a slackline rigged from The Rectory to Castleton Tower in Castle Valley, Utah – likely a new world record. Rigging the line is perhaps as significant a feat as walking it. The team included:

Andy Lewis
Brent Cain
Aleta Edinger
Sylvan Slacks
Scott Rogers
Brian Mosbaugh
Homer Manson
Ryan Zorg
Thibault Arrappiccatu
Mathieu Pertus
Crack Mouse
Sara Zorg
Guillaume Rolland
Antony Newton
Mimi Guesdon

Butterfly pull-ups can be fun to learn and serve a great purpose for athletes. When the time comes for newbies to practice the butterfly kip, I prefer to use a technique called “Blocking Movement” for Reverse Grip Kipping Pull-ups.
