How Rogue Birch Jerk Blocks are Made

September 14, 2015

Rogue has a certain way of making everything they do look completely badass…even putting together simple wooden boxes. As much as Rogue promotes being American made, when they bring manufacturing to other countries, you can’t get mad about it when you watch a video like this.

In the small town of Kuortane, Finland, 200 miles north of Helsinki, woodworker Jukka Vähämäki crafts birch wood into bomb-proof Rogue jerk blocks for training the olympic lifts. Using a combination of modern wood-working tools and traditional hand tools, Vähämäki himself builds each and every block for these high-quality sets.
