“I don’t know if I’ve ever gone that hard on a workout” – Watch Rich Froning and Mat Fraser Nearly Puke After Doing 15.5

April 07, 2015

HQ put together a pretty funny video showing Rich Froning and Mat Fraser doing 15.5, and both of them just about died after finishing the WOD in well under six minutes. It’s fucking great to see these guys hurt so bad…not that we want them to be in pain or anything, but it just makes us feel better about ourselves. Also, it’s pretty hilarious to watch both of them try to find out the others time.

Fair Warning: There’s a really weird and out of place workout and gun shooting montage about halfway through this video, but if you make it past that you’ll get a few more laughs and you’ll get to see Rich pretend not to be pissed that he didn’t win the Open.

During Week 5 of this year’s Open, it was unclear which man would sit atop the worldwide leaderboard at the end of the five-week competition. Mathew Fraser and Rich Froning were separated by only 5 points before the announcement of the brutal rowing and thruster couplet that would close out the first stage of CrossFit Games competition.

Watch CrossFit HQ cameramen Heber Cannon and Ian Wittenber follow Froning and Fraser as they close out their 2015 Reebok CrossFit Games Open.

In an empty gym I can make all the jumpers I want, but as soon as I have to direct my attention to a defender guarding me all of the technique I practiced tends to go out the window.
