CrossFit Games Athlete Scott Panchik played football for the University of Mount Union. After college, he began training in CrossFit because he missed the competitive atmosphere football had provided. Becoming a CrossFit competitor and coach helped him learn about the importance of recovery. “The one thing that I think a lot of athletes don’t put enough emphasis on is recovery. It’s just as important as your workout and we want to make sure that we’re leaving time for that. So the difference between winning and losing can sometimes be how quickly you recover.”
